Alberta Health: Playing with Numbers, Again

See the video below

On your way, take a look through these gov’t PDF’s and tell me what you think! It’s pretty obvious, they’ve lied.

Pay attention to how the data doesn’t match up between the editions of the reports.

From the 2017/2018 version to the 2018/2019 version:

  • They added +2  Hospitalizations
  • They added +1  ICU
  • They added +9  Deaths

  • They added +1 Hospitalization
  • They added +20 Deaths

  • They added +8 Deaths

  • They added +3 Hospitalizations
  • They added +1 ICU
  • They added +11 Deaths

  • They added +44 Hospitalizations
  • They added +7 ICU
  • They added +9 Deaths

From the 2018/2019 version to the 2019/2020 version:

  • They added +1 Hospitalization

  • They added +9 Hospitalization
  • They added +1 Death

....and for alberta's 2020-2021 influenza season..... nothing. not one case of influenza.

What business do they have changing statistics for previous years in the distant past?

Why would they be going back to 2013/2014 when they were already at 2017(I know they aren’t huge changes, but they matter, especially when they are backdated like this for no logical reason between editions.)

Now, let's also talk about the influenza average deaths per year.

On average, according to the 2019-2020 version of the report, we have 55 yearly deaths from influenza in Alberta.  In my (non-expert) opinion, should we not be at least factoring in the average yearly influenza deaths into the current covid numbers? I mean, considering we have these deaths every year… and we know we have these deaths every year… and we know about the discrepancies with the PCR testing methods (also picking up influenza if amplified “too high”)… I would think that out of our current Covid deaths, 55 for influenza should be factored away?

Over the past 10 years in Alberta:

  • influenza deaths: 599
  • influenza ICU: 1,906
  • influenza hospitalizations: 16,318
  • combined: 18,823

This year’s Covid in Alberta (as of December 17th, 2020)

  • covid deaths: 760
  • covid ICU: 506
  • covid hospitalizations: 2862
  • combined: 4,128

Influenza in Alberta 2020:

  • influenza deaths: 0
  • influenza ICU: 0
  • influenza hospitalizations: 0

Using my theory of factoring out the influenza deaths; if we take away 55 from 760 (that we can safely presume were actually influenza) it leaves us with 705 alleged “covid deaths”.

But then, let’s think about all of the other deaths they are attributing to COVID that were actually due to other causes.  How many different types of common diseases are there?
